Prince Flood 1987

Ricky Wyatt & I are joined by Prince Scholars, Zaheer Ali & Harold Pride, to discuss the Prince flood of 1987, exploring the prolificness of Prince’s output of that year (Madhouse, Sheila E, Jill Jones, Wendy and Lisa, Taja Sevelle, The Black Album, etc.), the first academic Prince conference, Purple Reign: An interdisciplinary conference on the life and legacy of Prince from May, Peach + Black: Celebrating 30 years of Prince’s Sign “O” The Times Panel & Screening at NYU from June, and The Revolution tour.

In the comments, I’d be curious to hear what are your favorite and least favorite Prince or Prince-related albums from 1987.

For those of you would prefer to download and listen; it’s also on iTunes.
